Your First Visit to Sellar Chiropractic Clinic
At Sellar Chiropractic you will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. You’re in the right place! New patients often remark how friendly our office is. Our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a comfortable environment. So, make yourself at home!
There is plenty of free and convenient parking adjacent to our office. You will be greeted by our friendly staff when you enter our office. If you’ve already completed your New Patient Registration, great! If not, after doing so we’ll ask you to have a seat in our comfortable waiting room and then you’ll meet Dr. John Sellar for your first appointment. Due to the thoroughness of your chiropractic examination, please allow extra time for your first visit with us.
We Explain Everything First
The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. If chiropractic treatment looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem. Depending upon your history, Dr. Sellar may decide to take X-rays using our in-house X-ray machine. If indicated, you will receive your first chiropractic adjustment and you will begin to enjoy the benefits of chiropractic immediately! Adjustments are quick and painless, and we explain everything in advance!
Growing up I had a passion for sports as well as martial arts. I attended Arlington High School and was most involved in wrestling. I took my education to California Baptist University where I wrestled and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences. While in school I had several episodes of lower back pain due to repetitive injuries in wrestling and weight lifting, as well as one significant trauma I had to my elbow resulting in severe nerve damage. One of my teacher’s assistants in my anatomy lab saw me grabbing my back and asked if he could help. It turns out that teachers aid was in an DO program and had taken some manipulation courses. He had me lay down on the dissection table and performed a lower back manipulation, the relief was immediate. Soon after I was exposed to chiropractic and began attending Southern California University of Health Sciences in 2012 and graduated in 2015.
I’m not only focused on my profession but also my family. I have been married to my amazing wife Molly since 2013. In 2015 we welcomed our first child Charlotte, in 2018 our first son Noah, in 2020 my second Oliver, and finally a third son in 2024. Any spare moment I can spend with them is always welcomed because as much as I love my career and helping others my family is always my priority. I welcome you to my office where you can be apart of my chiropractic family.
Regular Visits
After the investment of time needed on the first visit, many patients become concerned that every visit will be of equal length. A typical office visit may require just five to 10 minutes.
But don’t think the brevity of a regular visit lessens its value! With the groundwork laid, we can quickly evaluate your spine and nervous system, provide the appropriate adjustments and get you on your way. We recognize your time is valuable and we do everything possible to run on time and minimize the impact on your busy life. While we try hard to maintain a predictable schedule, we do see emergency cases immediately, so your wait to see the doctor may occasionally be longer than usual.

Chiropractic adjustments can help you feel better by correcting misalignments – also know as subluxations – in your spine. Chiropractors gently correct subluxations by using a broad range of adjusting methods. By restoring proper nerve flow, the chiropractor helps people enjoy more of their full potential for health and optimal performance.
Cost of Chiropractic Care
At Sellar Chiropractic we do not require long-term contracts or up-front fees. Based upon your individual situation, we will develop a treatment plan with you tailored to meet your specific health goals. Chiropractic care is covered by most insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid.
